You CAN sit with us !

Resilience is an incredible quality that allows us to bounce back from difficult situations and thrive in the face of adversity. For those of us who live with mental illness, resilience can be especially challenging, as we face a daily battle to manage our symptoms and maintain our emotional wellbeing.

But despite the challenges, resilience is possible – and it is truly amazing to see how people with mental illness can rise above their struggles, find strength in their weaknesses, and become powerful advocates for change.

One of the most inspiring examples of resilience in the face of mental illness is the story of Glenn Close. Glenn is a well-known actress who has been open about her struggles with depression and anxiety. In her own words, she describes her journey as "a long, painful, and sometimes scary ride" – but through it all, she has remained steadfast in her commitment to raising awareness about mental illness and helping others who are going through similar struggles.

Another inspiring example is the story of Kay Redfield Jamison. Kay is a professor of psychiatry who has written extensively about her own experiences with bipolar disorder. Despite the challenges of her illness, she has become a leading expert in the field of mental health and has inspired countless others to seek treatment and support.

These stories, and countless others like them, show us just how amazing resilience can be in the face of adverse mental illness. They remind us that we are not alone in our struggles, and that with the right support and resources, we can overcome any obstacle.

So if you are struggling with mental illness, know that you are not alone – and that you are capable of incredible resilience and strength. Seek out the support and resources that you need to thrive, and know that there is a community of people out there who are ready and willing to help you on your journey. With the right mindset and support, you can overcome any challenge and become an inspiration to others in your own right.

ABOUT ME

Hi there, I'm  a 33-year-old stay-at-home fiancé and mom of two. I'm also a proud member of the BPD tribe and a Jewish vintage enthusiast. When I'm not wrangling my kids or cooking up a mess in my cluttered little kitchen, I can be found scribbling away in my notebook or snapping pics of anything that catches my eye. I'm a big fan of anything that brings a little bit of joy to my day, whether it's a fresh cup of coffee or a new pair of funky socks. And let's be real, sometimes the only thing that gets me through the day is a strong iced coffee and a Netflix binge session. So if you're ever in need of some laughs, some creative inspiration, or just a sympathetic ear, come on over and join me on Planet Borderline. We'll have some fun, share some stories, and keep each other sane in this crazy world!"
